BUNTING, SNOW - Plectrophenax nivalis |

| It nidifies in high altitude alpine habitats, on barren mountains, but also along northern rocky coasts, in high moors and in the tundra. In central Europe it is migratory and winter visitor from Scandinavia and Greenland but a small number nests in Scotland. In Italy it is rare but regular migrant and wintering. Dimensions: 15,5 - 18 cm. Wingspan: 36 - 39 cm | |||||
